In the early eighties, I caught the surfing bug and started collecting surf music. But like many collectors, it got a bit out of hand. I bought too many copies, and too many duplicates, so I decided to sell them via mail order, entirely dedicated to surf and hot rod music. At first, it was a simple process, a folded sheet of A4 paper, but that soon grew into an 18-page booklet in a print run of around 100 copies. Unfortunately, the printing costs and postage made it too expensive. But then the internet came along, and I quickly built my own website, and sales continued steadily. However, my own setup soon no longer met modern standards, and it was time to start a proper online store. Gradually, sales increased, and my name became more known. I was even invited to sell my merchandise at surf festivals.
Due to a stupid mistake, my entire website disappeared from the internet in early 2026. Everything was gone: layout, products, photos, backups, newsletters, email addresses. So that meant: count to 10 and start all over again. Now my completely revamped, fully customized webshop is up and running again and ready for the future.
